Personal canon

Origin of Cybertronian life-at the end of each universe, a new one is born. The Vok, the endpoint of all evolution, survive into the new universe and sacrifice themselves to seed planets with life, which will then continue in an infinite cycle. Unicron and Primus are two Vok who seeded life on metal worlds and survived. From Primus' form of Vector Sigma, life on Cybertron sprung up while Unicron's surface created the Quintessons. Primus wished his children to continue the cycle of Big Bang->life->Vok->Big Bang, while Unicron is a nihilist who sees the cycle as pointless.
