The Crimson Angels were hired by Isaac Sumdac for an airshow to celebrate the inauguration of Detroit's new Fully Automated Rapid Transit System. As the people and Autobots were watching the show, Sumdac noticed there was an extra jet he didn't hire. This turned out to be Starscream, who transformed and attacked the Autobots.
