Part of the first wave of Generations Fall of Cybertron Voyager Class toys, Buzzsaw is a redeco of Laserbeak, transforming from a "data disc" into a robotic bird. He is capable of storing in and launching out of Soundblaster's chest compartment, and features a fully automatic, spring-loaded transformation to bird mode that is triggered when a button on his underside is pressed. He uses the same circuit-board pattern as Laserbeak, only mirrored along the vertical axis.

The TakaraTomy version of Buzzsaw has a the entirety of his gold plastic covered in a shimmering metallic gold paint. However, this paint can get rubbed off around the transformation joints.

In both markets, Buzzsaw was only available as a pack-in partner with Soundblaster.

This mold was also retooled into Ratbat.
