Soundwave invaded the Hall of Science to retrieve the remains of Thunderwing. He activated a Null Field to keep out the Autobots while he retrieved what he came for. And, outside, Grapple suggested to Hot Rod that they blow up the Hall of Science to keep the Matrix energy that still lingered in Thunderwing's remains from falling into Decepticon hands. Loose Ends, Part 5 Unfortunately, Soundwave had anticipated this, and when Hot Rod decided to destroy the Hall of Science, Soundwave simply teleported out of the building with Thunderwing's remains, knowing that the fact that the Hall being utterly destroyed would leave the Autobots expecting not to find Thunderwing's remains in the wreckage.
