Topspin (FOC)
From MediaWiki
| The name or term "Topspin" refers to more than one character or idea. For a list of other meanings, see Topspin (disambiguation). |
- Topspin is an Autobot from the Aligned continuity family.

It's not that Topspin doesn't love beating the crap out of people. That's pretty much a requirement for Wrecker membership. It's just that he loves exploration as much as beating the crap out of people. To Topspin, an unconquered wilderness or an impossibly-distant star is just as compelling as an enemy who needs the crap beaten out of him.
Well, nearly, anyway.
He combines with several of his Wrecker comrades to form Ruination.

- Accessories:
- Topspin, released as part of wave 4 of the 2012-onwards Generations Deluxe Class assortment under the Fall of Cybertron banner, is a redeco and retool of Blast Off from wave 2. Cast primarily in white plastic, with some black parts (which are only visible in robot mode) and orange, blue and silver paint operations, his alternate mode is a Cybertronian "rocket plane". In robot mode, he sports a new head sculpt based on Generation 1 Topspin.
- Topspin comes with both Blast Off's guns, which can be attached to both sides of the alternate mode's rear section, providing Topspin with tailfins, and a brand new buzzsaw weapon accessory. In order to store the new weapon in his alternate mode, the hinged section that covers his head has been retooled to sport a 5mm peg hole. Oddly, even though the official Hasbro stock photos that depict a (pre)-production sample show the retooled section, at least one specimen from Asia sports the unchanged "Blast Off" version of the section with different paint operations, as seen in earlier stock photos (which are also featured on the back of the packaging) that depict a hand-painted prototype.[1]
- In addition to his robot and vehicle modes, Topspin can also combine with his fellow Wreckers into Ruination and serve as any of the gestalt robot's four limbs, though his official configuration shown in the instructions is the right leg. (The gestalt's hand features optional thumbs that can be flipped out on both sides so that it can be used as either the left or right hand, just like Blast Off.) If he's used as an arm, Topspin's arm mode is much longer than the arm modes of the other components. A shorter arm mode can be achieved, but this is not advisable as it puts incredible stress on Topspin's torso and may damage it. His blasters can be combined with the other Wreckers' weapons.
