This article is about the evil Autobot mini-cassette. For his heroic counterpart, see Steeljaw (G1). For a list of other meanings, see Steeljaw (disambiguation).
Steeljaw is an evil Autobot Mini-Cassette from the "Shattered Glass" continuity family.
...And I'll form the... yawn, never mind.

Steeljaw is the very epitome of a pet cat: interested in little else besides eating, sleeping, sunbathing, and occasionally leaving around disgusting, freshly killed things for Blaster to find. Whenever Blaster or the other Autobots try to order him around, or Ravage tries to get his "arch-rival" to fight with him, Steeljaw merely yawns and turns over to tan the other half of himself.

If he could be convinced to actually move, the fearsome-looking, nasty-clawed, winged feline might actually be a dangerous opponent...until you disarmed him with some scritchies in just the right spot behind his ears, that is.

Before sunrise, he's your son.

Steeljaw's dedication to "recharging" was so strong he couldn't even bring forth the effort to swat aside the incredibly annoying Ravage. Recordicons #1 At some point, Steeljaw ate Enemy's body. Later Ravage was interrupting Steeljaw's lounging on a rock again and Steeljaw inquired why his foe thought they were friends. Ravage reminded Steeljaw of his consumption of Enemy, though his wording initially confused the Autobot. Recordicons #4

After they arrived in a positive polarity universe, Steeljaw got rid of Ravage by pointing out there was another version of himself Ravage could go annoy. Recordicons #13 After telling Ravage they couldn't be friends because he was too busy solar charging, Steeljaw suddenly found himself getting a fast-charge thanks to Solarbot being parked next to him.
