Darksteel (Prime)

Darksteel is a Predacon from the Aligned continuity family.

The big guy is Max Dark and the little guy is Steel.

Darksteel revels in combat, particularly combat that ends with him standing victorious over a broken Autobot. As it happens, this is most combat involving Darksteel.

Beast Hunters: Predacons Rising Darksteel is a redeco of Prime: Beast Hunters Grimwing. He transforms into an ursagryph covered with an assortment of Cyberglyphics, and comes with a bird-headed grapple launcher which can launch the claw missile in its mouth via pressure-launch, with the missile being tied to the launcher with a length of string. Both the launcher and his missile can mount/be held by Darksteel via 5mm post, with Darksteel featuring ports on his hands, forearms, and back.

As a possibly unintentional feature, the U-shaped parts on his shoulders are separate pieces that can be pulled out to be used as weapons held via their 5mm handles.

He and the other Predacons Rising toys were made available as Target exclusives in the US, and as Tesco exclusives in the UK. This mold was retooled into Go! Budora.
