Metrobase (G1)

Metrobase is an Autobot installation from the Generation 1 continuity family.

Metrobase was the headquarters of the Earth-based Autobot Micromasters in the early 1980s.

Micromaster

Upon the discovery of strange ruins at the base of Mount St. Hilary that suggested to them that Transformers had been on Earth before them, the Autobot Micromasters constructed the Metrobase at the foot of the mountain in order to protect it from Decepticon attacks. The Menace of Landcross's Combining Formation!

Transformers Generations 2013

Lacking a transformation cog, Metrobase was easy prey for a Decepticon attack, requiring the activation of the recently-rebuilt and upsized Metroplex, despite the Autobots' energy-critical situation. Metro Wars

Metrobase could just be seen amongst the Metrotitans of the Knights of Cybertron. Primus: You, Me, and Other Revelations

Notes

• Metrobase was originally, in what was for a long time its one illustrated appearance (seen at the top of this article) drawn to resemble the Autobot city-bot Metroplex. Its white, blue and burgundy coloration, meanwhile, was similar, but not identical, to the Metroplex redeco Metrotitan
• For the appearance in "Metro Wars", its colour palette was revised to a more distinct lilac-based scheme, one of those previously used by Guido Guidi in the fleet of Metrotitans seen briefly in the The Transformers: More than Meets the Eye Annual.
