Beest is a planet in the Generation 1 continuity family.

Beest is a distant planet inhabited by a race of anthropomorphic animals known as the Battle Beasts. Beest used to be a relatively peaceful planet, with dissenters few and generally quiet about their dissatisfaction with the planet's then-rulers, until the Transformers came to stir things up, with each faction joining with their appropriate Battle Beast counterparts.

(Note: The only official English interpretation of the planet's name appeared in the Dreamwave Summer Special, where it was referred to as "Planet Beest". Previously, the planet was simply spelled "Planet Beast" in most English episode guides written by fans, as no English version of the name was ever officially released.)

Fiction

Headmasters cartoon

Planet Beest first appeared in the 5th episode of the Japanese-exclusive Transformers Headmasters cartoon, "Rebellion on Planet Beest". In that episode, the Autobots come into contact with two refuge Battle Beasts who have come to seek help. The Decepticons invaded planet Beest and helped the enemy forces of Alligatron take control. The Autobots then assisted the good Battle Beasts free planet Beest from Decepticon tyranny.

Headmasters manga

Planet Beest appeared again in the 30-page manga special, "Great Decisive Battle of Planet Beest". Once again, the Decepticons have teamed up with Alligatron to take over planet Beest. The good Battle Beasts under the command of White Leo send for help from the Autobots, who arrive to help defeat the Decepticons and Alligatron.

Dreamwave comic continuity

After being ejected out into deep space by Starscream, Megatron finds himself on the planet Beest in the middle of the war of the Battle Beasts. Megatron becomes aware that the Predacons have taken refuge on Beest and proceeds to hunt them down.
