Talk:Kre-O
Oxford Bricks
Kre-O bricks are made by Oxford Bricks, notable for Chinese brick sets appearing all over eBay. $8 Bumblebee's wheel hubs even have "OXFORD" printed on them.
Human Kreons
Do the humans get pages of their own? Too bad they don't have names. - Starfield 22:37, 20 June 2011 (EDT)
- At this point I would say 'no', since they're just generic accessories. Only one of the humans seems to be solidly based on anyone (Sam Witwicky, from Adv. Bumblebee), so there aren't names or indentifications given anywhere else. - Vanguard 12:16, 24 June 2011 (EDT)
Which Universe for Kre-O?
I just spotted the Optimus and Sideswipe sets at TRU. Did we ever figure out where to put these guys? --Khajidha 19:45, 10 June 2011 (EDT)
- I'm gonna put them on the table where I keep my LEGo... What? Oh, here? Very good question what with being strange Movie G1 Hybrids? Aligned or there own new thing I guess?--76.28.76.206 19:50, 10 June 2011 (EDT)
- Since most of them have Classics/Universe heads and they come with little Sunbow-style guys, I'm in favor of G1ing them. --ItsWalky 20:27, 10 June 2011 (EDT)
- I just can't imagine calling the big Sentinel Prime a G1 toy. I don't have a real counterproposal except maybe making pages for Kre-O-Verse versions of the characters. Hasbro doubtless considers them to be from the new Aligned Continuity That Everything Is From. Again, this is not a problem that's going to go away. -LV 20:40, 10 June 2011 (EDT)
- They are apparently "brick-made beings" called "Kreons" fictionally. At least according to Wal Mart's website. So... - Starfield 22:51, 20 June 2011 (EDT)
- I think we should aim for consistency. Meaning, that we shouldn't say that "Optimus is from the Movieverse, Prowl is G1, and Bumblebee is Aligned". With that in mind, it seems most logical to either put them all in Aligned or give them their own designation. Thoughts? --Khajidha 10:58, 24 June 2011 (EDT)

- Seems simple to me. They're all 'Kre-O' characters, first and foremost. In each description, just mention what universe the design is based on. So, for the 'Mustang' Bumblebee, it's Advanced Kre-O Bumblebee, based on his appearance in the movie. For Kre-O Jazz, he's based on his G1 appearance, though his gray/silver is based on the movie coloration. Etc. Don't make it more complicated than it needs to be. - Vanguard 11:57, 24 June 2011 (EDT)
- I'm inclined to say a Kre-O continuity is the most parsimonious solution. I don' want to have some of them called G1 and some called Movie or whatever, and the fact that the Kreons at least have their own little bios gives it more weight. -70.62.10.14 12:27, 24 June 2011 (EDT)

They have their own articles here on tfwiki.net, so, too late. --66.82.9.92 15:22, 17 July 2011 (EDT)
- Those articles came about AFTER this conversation started. I mean, you did notice that you were responding to a month old thread?--Khajidha 15:25, 17 July 2011 (EDT)
Missing trans-white pieces
Optimus Prime and Megatron have missing trans-white pieces. Anyone have this same problem? 69.19.14.18 20:09, 30 December 2011 (EST)
Devastator
I updated Devastator's number of pieces per images at Toy Fair like this one: http://cdn.tfw2005.com/transformers-news/attach/7/3/2/3/1/toyfair2012hasbrotransformerskreo-003_1328997949.jpg Hasbro also released promo pics, so I am working on Devastator's page. Ginrai 17:14, 16 February 2012 (EST)
Funny Episodes
The Kre-O episodes make my day
Costco exclusives
I saw at Costco that there were two packs that aren't sold anywhere else. They were Megatron with Sideswipe and Starscream with Prowl.
Are we going to List every serries that Kre-o sets makes?
Cause so far hasbro has 3 serries of kre-O (Transformes{Quest for Energon},Battleship, Star Track and now the upcoming Gi Joe) —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Cflorestf4 (talk • contribs).
- No, only Transformers ones. I'm not sure why you would think a Transformers Wiki would cover Kre-O for other franchises. --abates 20:36, 7 October 2012 (EDT)
Goove?
Is that really supposed to say GOOVE?!?!? I didn't change it myself because I wasn't sure if this was some new name for trademark purposes. --Khajidha 14:39, 10 February 2013 (EST)
"L employees"
That bit is dated, as it referred to the Toy Fair at which Kre-O originally debuted. Should it still be here? --Cr85747 22:03, 25 February 2013 (EST)
Tub of Bricks- UK Exclusive Product?
I noticed that on the UK Argos website, there is a 'Kre-O Transformers Tub of Bricks'. I haven't found info on any other websites, but it is Transformers branded. Should we add it to the page? --DoctorWhoFan
- Interesting. HTS has a Kre-O tub that comes up when you search for Transformers, but it isn't really Transformers. I was initially excited about this one until I saw it was just the small Prime and Bee packed with Jazz and the Bluestreak and Sideswipe Kreons. Nonetheless, it should definitely be on this page. It even has a set number (A4583). -LV 16:34, 17 July 2013 (EDT)
- Thanks for the info/advice, I've added it now. --DoctorWhoFan
Grimwing and Stormrazor mixed up?
Though neither of them seem to be named on their respective sets or on Hasbro's pages for them, I noticed that the non-English descriptions of the Kre-O sets on Hasbro's site name Storm Razor as the Predacon who comes with Trailcutter[1] and Grimwing as the Predacon who comes in the Battle Net Bumblebee set[2]. Are the names our error or did Hasbro accidentally swap the names in translation? --abates 20:01, 10 August 2013 (EDT)
- Well, given that Prime Grimwing is a green dragon and Storm Razor was an early name for Prime Skystalker the blue dragon, I'd guess that Kre-O Grimwing is the green dragon and Kre-O Stormrazor is the blue dragon? Our names seem to be taken from Toy Fair 2013 promotional copy.
- I also notice that the product page copy for the Optimus set names the Predacon Razor Back, as opposed to Laserback from the Toy Fair copy. Does one supersede the other for our purposes? Jalaguy 20:06, 10 August 2013 (EDT)
- Yeah, that makes it seem likely that the non-English descriptions are in error. As for Lazerback, I guess if it's on hasbro's site, it supersedes the Toy Fair copy. --abates 20:40, 10 August 2013 (EDT)
Meijer
Meijer definitely got in the Beast Hunter Optimus set, as well as being the first place I saw the Kreon combiners. I think they also got BH Bumblebee but wouldn't swear to it right now. -LV 00:17, 19 October 2013 (EDT)
- Well, I didn't see any at mine, but my Meijer sucks at distribution, so it's probably in other stores besides mine. Escargon 00:26, 19 October 2013 (EDT)
Consolidation and clean up
Currently, we have extensive lists of the Kreon toys in three places, here on the Kre-O page, on the Kreon page, and on the Micro-Changer page. This redundancy is both time consuming, as each page needs to be updated whenever we find out about a new release, but also has led to some messy looking pages, with formatting for different sections that don't match (often because they were cribbed from one of the sister pages) and pages that are incomplete. The way I see it, we should do one of three things to tidy things up, make it easier to keep updated, and not lose any information:
- 1. List everything on the Kre-O page and have links pointing back to that page for the individual releases. The Kreon page could remain as a repository for the limited fictional information we have from the online bios and the comics. "Micro-Changer" is redirected to the Kreon article.
- 2. List everything on the Kre-O page, including the fictional information for the Kreons. "Kreon" and "Micro-Changer" are redirected to the Kre-o article.
- 3. Create a sort of nested system, with the general information about the line and the brick-built sets on the Kre-O page, fictional information from the online bios and the comics and a list of the pack-in Kreons on the Kreon page, and the list of the Microchanger releases on the Microchanger page.
