Transformers Cybertron: Quest for Cybertron was a video game in development by Brooklyn Games for Hasbro's educational ION video game console. Utilizing EyeToy motion tracking technology, the game would have allowed players to interact with objects on-screen. While intended for a release in the holiday season of 2006, the game ultimately never came out, presumably due to the poor sales of the ION platform.
The project was first revealed by Brooklyn Games in June 2006.[1] The game's designer and producer stated:
| “ | Transformers: Quest For Cybertron is a title for Hasbro's new video game learning console called ION. Although fun for adults, the game is geared towards 7 to 10 year olds and all the ION titles are meant to teach as well as entertain. The ION will debut this summer and Transformers: Quest For Cybertron is due out by this holiday season. | ” |
