- An Alchemical virus is a disease from the IDW portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.
Alchemical viruses is the term given by the metallurgist community for a disease that has transmutative properties. Upon infection, the individual's body gets turned into the rare and soft metal Admium. Afterwards, the subject begins to be slowly eaten alive as a result of the virus which is why it is referred to as a death plague.
