Cyber Planet Key
- Cyber Planet Keys are cosmic technology found in the Cybertron portion of the Unicron Trilogy continuity family.
Eons ago, four Cyber Planet Keys were scattered across the universe on various planets. Each Key is a portion of Primus' lifeforce, and if gathered together and plugged into the Omega Lock, they can be used to awaken and restore him.

The four Cyber Planet keys were gifts from Primus to his creations. Created during the first age after the first defeat of Unicron, the goal of the keys was to spread Primus' essense to other fledgling planets and reformat them in a way that would create new Transformer life forms. The purpose of this was to possibly equip and protect the expanding universe from the threat of Unicron.
During the transportation of the keys to the four discovered planets(Earth, Gigantion, Velocitron, and Beast Planet), it was decided that a space bridge would need to be constructed to connect these worlds as one. During this operation, the prototype space bridge technology failed. The planets were cut off, leaving the various colonies stranded on their new homeworlds.
As time progressed, the keys influenced the evolution of the various planets, breeding different types of Transformer-based lifeforms. So much time has passed, the Transformers on these various planets have no knowledge of Cybertron, outside of legends told.
Earth: The Earth Cyber Planet Key is blue and contains the image of a sun peaking from behind the shape of the earth. The colony which brought the Planet Key to Earth was also trusted with the Omega Lock.
The Jungle Planet: The Key on Jungle Planet eventually took the form of a statue resembling a dragon. The Jungle Cyber Planet Key is green with a clawed paw-print.
Velocitron: The key on Velocitron was eventually hidden in the form of a trophy for the Planet Cup race, which also dicates the planet's leader. The Speed Planet Cyber Key is red and contains a symbol resembling a speedometer pointer.
Gigantion: Gigantion's key was hidden in the starship Lemuria, which rested on the central of the planet (the orignal world on which the other layers were built). The Cyber Planet Key of this world is purple and contains the image of a cogwheel.
Cybertron: While Cybertron itself does not contain a Cyber Planet Key, the power itself comes directly from the power of Primus living within the giant metallic homeworld. The Cyber Key powered directly by Primus is clear with an Autobot or Decepticon logo.
Planet X: While not a planet connected to the space bridge project, the agents of Planet X are empowered by the essense of Unicron and have the ability to summon forth their own Cyber Keys, appearing orange with a Decepticon logo.
Unique Keys: There are keys within the story that do not resemble any Cyber Planet Key host. The only known examples are those held by Vector Prime, Optimus Prime and Megatron.
Each of the four keys were eventually recovered by the Autobots, and once combined with the Omega Lock, returned power to Primus. Primus quickly sprang into action and sealed the Unicron Singularity, using the Ark's massive cannon.
After the Singularity was sealed and Galvatron was seemingly defeated forever, a new project was embarked upon which would lead to the four Keys being transported to new planets, creating an even larger Space Bridge than the original intent.
