• The Generations toyline's ties to the 'Dark Cybertron' comic event prompted the introduction of the Ammonites into the IDW Generation 1 continuity, an alien faction of small, green combiners, nicknamed "Minicons". In practice, however, the precise designs of the Mini-Con Assault Team were only used to represent Ammonites on a single cover.
