Mark W. Bellomo (a.k.a. "Mark Bellomo") fashions a living as an author and wordsmith, penning articles, periodicals and tomes about the industry of toys (or "action figures" to give them the names preferred by their proponents) and various multi-media products (e.g. comic books, video games e.t.c.) related to them. The author first rose to prominence as a contributor to magazines such as "Wizard" and in the form of the creator of "G.I. Joe 1982-1994: Identification and Price Guide", a book that chronicles the breadth of Hasbro's iconic action figure line during the indicated time period. This opus was later succeeded by the "Transformers: Identification and Price Guide", which replicated the format of the aforementioned "G.I. Joe" guide, albeit focusing on Hasbro's ever-popular line of transforming robot toys.

Inspired by his success with expansive and verbose chronicle pertaining to the prodigious output of [Hasbro 1980s] toy-lines, Mr Bellomo was recruited to provide informative commentary, notes, introductions, and appendices to I.D.W. Publishing's (a.k.a. Idea and Design Works LLC) trade-paperback collected edition reprints of "The Transformers" and "G.I. Joe" comics from the 1980s to 1990s (originally published by Marvel Comics). These hyper-grammatical narrative enhancement pieces appear in collected edition series such as "The Transformers Classics", "G.I. Joe: Special Missions" and "G.I. Joe: The Complete Collection" and provide valuable informational, and at times hagiographical, extras to complement the sequential artform stories contained within. He also collaborated on the production of I.D.W.'s "The Art Of Transformers: Fall Of Cybertron" art publication.

Mr Bellomo is the subject of "Collectable Spectacle", an 18(!) part YouTube videography series chronicling his life and work.
