Hirotaka Suzuoki

Hirotaka Suzuoki (鈴置 洋孝 Suzuoki Hirotaka) was a veteran Japanese voice actor who was born on March 6, 1950 in Nagoya, Aichi, Japan. He voiced characters such as Tien in Dragonball and Dragonball Z, Masaki Murakami in the original Guyver OVA series, Bright Noa in multiple Mobile Suit Gundam series, Tatewaki Kuno in Ranma 1/2, Dragon Shiryuu in Saint Seiya, Commander Jamison in Teknoman, and (sigh) Tatsuo Nagumo in the Urotsukidoji: Legend of the Overfiend films. He was also the official Japanese dub-voice for Tom Cruise.
He was the guest of honor at BotCon Japan 1998.[1]
On August 6, 2006, at the age of 56, Hirotaka Suzuoki died from lung cancer.

- Suzuoki was originally cast to play Galaxy Force Starscream. However, illness forced him to decline the role and he was recast with Takaya Kuroda, who wound up doing a distinct impression of Suzuoki.
