You can't see me!

This character has no official visual representation in any Transformers product or media... yet, at least.

Riptide is an Autobot warrior. Stoic, heroic, unflinching unfailing...and very, very boring. Still, you could never hope to meet a better Autobot. He's extremely devoted to his comrades, especially the Mini-Con QuickFire.

He transforms into a Mack truck, an airship, and a robot. His Mini-Con partner QuickFire combines with him in all 3 modes.

Fiction

Lonesome Diesel

Riptide was badly injured by a Decepticon attack. Transported to Earth by QuickFire, Riptide reconfigured himself into a Mack truck before falling into stasis lock, near death. QuickFire was able to control Riptide's body while he attempted to effect the slow repairs needed to resuscitate him.

Riptide finally awakened months later, just as a QuickFire was journeying to Yellowstone National Park to prevent a natural disaster from being caused by a fight between the Autobots and the Decepticons. He prevented Megatron from destroying Optimus Prime, but was overwhelmed when the Decepticon responded by cutting QuickFire from his chest.

In the end, Riptide left the Autobots to haul cargo with QuickFire and their human friend Jake. Lonesome Diesel

Force of Habit

During the Unicron Singularity crisis, Riptide served aboard the Autobot flagship Iron Hope. He was called into action during a Decepticon attack on the ship and battled a number of Divebomb—and Insecticon-type Terrorcons alongside Smokescreen, Ironhide and the Land Military Mini-Con Team.
