Riptide is one of the Hydrobot members of the Lost Light's crew.

Riptide and the Hydrobots went into action to help defend the Lost Light against an Ammonite army when the ship found itself on the ocean planet of Hydrophena. Into the Abyss Some time later, as the ship prepared to get back to its mission, a disinterested Riptide was roped into helping Swerve and Crosscut with his fake new crewmember interviews.
