Hishoumaru

Hishoumaru is an Autobot Swordbot from the Go! portion of the Aligned continuity family.

Soarin' high like an eagle!

Hishoumaru (ヒショウマル Hishōmaru) is part of the Swordbot Shinobi Team. He can combine with Gekisoumaru and Sensuimaru in various configurations. With Hishoumaru as the top, the combined form is called GoHishou (ゴウヒショウ Gōhishō).

Hishoumaru transforms into an orange and yellow Phoenix-chicken thing. He has some of the more respectable body proportions compared to most of the Swordbots, as he has a defined torso. His beast mode tail detaches to become a large kunai knife sword with kunai knives molded into it. His kabuto can be changed into a large unwieldy cannon.

He forms the top of GoHishou, the abdomen of GoGekisou, and the legs of GoSensui.

Notes

• Hishō probably corresponds with 飛翔, meaning "soaring", while maru probably corresponds with 丸 ("circle"), a common kanji in historical Japanese names that is still used in period dramas.
