Dawn of the Autobots

"Dawn of the Autobots" is an "event" storyline published by IDW Publishing, starting in 2014. Much like its predecessor "event", Dark Cybertron, "Dawn of the Autobots" celebrates the Transformers brand's 30th anniversary, as well as the "second season" of its two Generation 1 titles More than Meets the Eye and Robots in Disguise. The branding is also on the 4-issue Windblade mini-series.

"Dawn of the Autobots" is yet another "jumping-on-point" for new fans and follows the adventures of 3 distinct groups of Autobots (who have won the Great War). More than Meets the Eye continues to follow the crew of the Lost Light in search of the Knights of Cybertron. A few personnel changes aside, the big difference this time around is that the ship is now captained by new Autobot Megatron! Robots in Disguise follows a small crew of Autobots led by Optimus Prime to Earth in search of Alpha Trion. Windblade is set on Cybertron and focuses on the young title character who is trying to heal Metroplex while Cybertronian leader Starscream schemes.
