Lumina Hoshi
| The name or term "Illumina" refers to more than one character or idea. For a list of other meanings, see Illumina (disambiguation). |
- Lumina Hoshi is a human from the Binaltech Asterisk portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.

Lumina Hoshi (星 ルミナ Hoshi Rumina, born November 5) was raised as part of an affluent family, but when her parents cut her off, she had to get out into the world and find herself a job. The spoiled, selfish attitude her wealthy upbringing imbued her with made that tough, but she eventually got a position as the new news announcer and reporter for the TV Bureau. She also became a member of Officer Clamp Down's Interplanetary Personnel Exchange Program, and has been paired with Broadblast in an attempt to promote goodwill between humans and Transformers. Broadblast helps her get to locations quickly so she can report on breaking news, increasing her professional appearance.
Lumina is a fan of mystery novels, tennis, the color pink, kiwi and steamed ume, but she's not big on heights, and, for goodness sake, don't let her sit on a horse.

Asterisk Story

While covering an auto show where Broadblast was operating undercover, Lumina was unfortunately present when a large section of lighting broke free from the ceiling and came hurtling down upon a crowd of people. Luckily, Broadblast was able to transform in time and catch the lights before they could squash everyone. Broadblast was then left to nervously explain his presence to the onlookers as Lumina apologized for the technical difficulties to her viewers. The World's First Disaster Relief Car!?

Binaltech Asterisk

- Broadblast meets Lumina (2005)
- Japanese ID number: BTA03
- Accessories: Stand, "driving" arms, seated lower body
- Lumina is a soft-plastic PVC figurine of a Japanese woman in a TV-style business suit/short skirt combo. She has an extra set of arms and a "seated" lower body so she can be placed in the driver's seat of her partner Broadblast's vehicle mode. It is unknown how well she fits into the driver's seats of other Alternators. She was only available as part of the third Binaltech Asterisk set.
Notes
- Like all of the Asterisk girls, Lumina is modeled after a character from a previous series; in this instance, Lumina's inspiration is the Victory character Illumina.
- This makes her the only one of the three Asterisk girls to not be based on a character from Car Robots.
