Blitz Engines are Decepticon troops from the Marvel comics portion of the Generation 1 continuity family via Regeneration One.

Blitz Engines are the latest creations of the Decepticon forces. Brought to life by the power of the Creation Matrix, these seemingly mindless troops belies their seemingly ridiculous chicken-like shapes by possessing regenerative capabilities thanks to drawing power from the Matrix. This allows them to formulate a strategy to any type of enemy by constantly regenerating and studying their enemy's behaviour. Despite these fearsome capabilities, however, the Blitz Engines have one inherent weakness -- they are not self-sustaining, and are powered by Matrix energy from a remote source. It would be a shame if someone figures it out...

Bludgeon, having extracted energy from the Creation Matrix from the remains of Thunderwing, created the Blitz Engines abroad the Warworld. The Blitz Engines first saw action on the planet Cresta Superior as a demonstration for Soundwave. They completely massacre Cresta Superior's dominant species, which impresses Soundwave. The remains of Cresta Superior were later investigated by Rook.Destiny, Part One

The Warworld later attacked Cybertron, and while Ultra Magnus was preoccupied with Galvatron, the Warworld launches a massive swarm of Blitz Engines, which tears through the numerous Autobots that attempted to stop them. Among the seeming casualties that feel to the Blitz Engines included Catilla and Windbreaker. The Autobots were overwhelmed by these new troops, and were uncertain how to handle them. Perceptor's scans, however, reveal that the Blitz Engines draw energy from the Matrix energy from the Warworld. Prowl dispatches Kup's Wreckers to surgically strike at the Warworld, while he brings out Omega Supreme, the Autobots' strongest warrior. Omega Supreme was able to destroy several Blitz Engines with ease until he was interrupted by the arrival of Monstructor.Destiny, Part Four

Having defeated Galvatron, Ultra Magnus later leads the charge against the Blitz Engines. Elsewhere, the Dinobots, having somehow befriended the Demons, also arrive and launch a counter-attack against the Blitz Engines. The Wreckers' strike on the Warworld, assisted by a newly-created Rodimus PRime, manages to disable the Warworld and cut off the flow of Matrix energy. Being robbed of their ability to regenerate, the Blitz Engines were all subsequently destroyed by the combined assault of the Autobots, Dinobots and Demons.Destiny, Part Five
