Skram is an Autobot from the Generation 1 continuity family.
Everybody stands just a little farther away when he's crack-patrolling.

Skram only takes this war thing so seriously. After all, if you can't have a little fun even in the middle of an eons-long race-wide civil war, what's the point? Luckily for him (and his fellow Axelerators), his idea of "fun" consists mostly of barreling into incredibly dangerous situations, banging some Decepticon skulls together, and somehow beating the ugliest odds and turning things into a victory for the Autobots.

Of course, he might brag a bit once it's all over, but his results are hard to argue with.

He was witness to Hound's dressing down of Sideswipe when the latter broke radio silence to request a transfer to Earth. He was knocked offline during an attack on the outpost by a powerful Transformer, but the intruder chose to spare Skram's life, as well as the lives of most of the other Autobots stationed there, in a small act of rebellion against his master. Toys

Generation 1

File:G1G2 Skram toy.jpg
His name is "Marks" backwards. Communist propaganda?
  • Skram (Axelerator, 1993)
    • Accessories: Engine block gun
Sold as part of the Axelerator assortment, Skram transforms into a Chevrolet Corvette Stingray. His exposed chrome-silver engine block becomes a pistol for robot mode. This toy is also gang-molded with Windbreaker.
He was initially released in the European market in 1993, during the transitional time when the Transformers toys took on the new Generation 2 sigils, but the packaging lacked the "Generation 2" line-name.

Generation 2

  • Skram (Small Car/Axelerator, 1993/1994)
    • Accessories: Engine block gun
Released concurrently with the European "Generation 1" version, the US version of Skram is almost identical to the European toy, save the pink clear-plastic being replaced with smoky-black. Skram was re-released in the European Generation 2 line the following year, retaining his clear-pink plastics.

Notes

  • While Skram's original UK release gives him the function of "Platoon Trouble Shooter", the later US release changes this to "Crack Patrol". Make of that what you will.
  • Like all of the toys carried over from the European line for Generation 2, Skram got entirely new artwork for his US release . His original artwork, for reasons unknown, has a scary freakin' vent-thing in place of his mouth.
  • Skram is the only Axelerator who has not been shown as part of the canceled Block Town series. Since he is gang-molded with Windbreaker, a Block Town Skram would be a red car with white robot parts.
  • Skram's European-market coloration was used as the basis for the Maximal Command Security Force trooper Getout.
