The Skyfire was buried in the Franz Josef Glacier after thousands of years of disuse. Maximum Dinobots #1 Grimlock would later teleport to the ship, Spotlight: Grimlock after which he dug it out. However, it was incapable of flight, so he sent a message to the Monsterbots for assistance. Maximum Dinobots #1 However, he was away when they arrived at the site, and so they went out to look for their client. Maximum Dinobots #2

After their fight against the Machination was over, the recovered Dynobots repaired the Skyfire and left. Maximum Dinobots #5
