Optimus sets out to defeat Predaking once and for all.

Synopsis

Despite the Autobots' failure to learn the secrets of the ancient weapons discovered by Bumblebee, Optimus Prime is not prepared to allow the Predacon threat continue unopposed. The defeat of his powerful lieutenant Ultra Magnus has forced the Autobot leader's hand. Taking the Firebreath Cyclocannons in hope they can give him an edge, he heads out into the desert to search for Predaking.

It doesn't take long to find him; the Predacon warlord has himself been searching for Prime, eager to begin the destruction of the entire Autobot force with their leader. Before the fight can begin, however, Optimus receives a welcome transmission from Ratchet: the secrets of the mysterious weapons have been revealed, and he is ready to power them up.

Notes

• The Autobots retrieved their exciting new gimmicks mysterious ancient weapons back in chapter 6 and have been trying to get them to work ever since chapter 9.
• Ultra Magnus' beatdown by Grimwing was pretty much entirely his own fault, as covered in the previous chapter. Hell of a thing to trigger a final battle.
• The story is indicated to continue in the instructions of "Fire Breath Predaking"; the toy's actual release name is "Beast Fire Predaking".
