V'ger signals the creator.

The Voyager spacecraft is a space-faring vehicle that was launched from Earth at the time when the secret war between the Autobots and Decepticons was starting up again. It carried a Golden Disk inscribed with "The Sounds of Earth" and a message from Megatron.

During the period just after the spacecraft had passed Saturn, the original Megatron inscribed a message on the disk, resulting in Voyager carrying his message into space. The disk eventually ended up on Cybertron where it was stolen by the Predacon leader Megatron, while the fate of the Voyager spacecraft itself remained unrecorded. The Agenda (Part 2)

Notes

• The real-life Voyager probes were launched in 1977, seven years before the traditional date of the Transformers' revival. Maybe it was Voyager 6.
