The Early Early Warning System is a device from the IDW portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.

The Early Early Warning System is the perfect preemptive tool for Brainstorm those whose potentially disastrous experiments warrant more than a conventional warning system. So far, only two of its settings ("Uh-oh!" and the more serious "Run for your life!") are known.

Brainstorm used the device to determine the danger of handling Rodimus' apparent future corpse, and pegged the situation at "Uh-oh!" Despite this apparently being an acceptable level of risk, the Lost Light suddenly beginning to wink out of existence was not, and the warning system advocated that the crew run for their lives.
