Galen

In the Marvel Generation 1 comic, Galen was the original Nebulan binary-bond partner of Fortress Maximus.

In the Headmasters miniseries, Galen was originally a member of the Nebulan Council of Peers who opposed Lord Zarak's efforts to wage war againt Fortress Maximus' band of Autobot refugees. When the Decepticons arrived on Nebulos, he volunteered to undergo the binary-bonding process in order to help the Autobots defend Nebulos. In issue #38 of the Marvel (US) comic, Galen arrives on Earth only to be killed in battle by Scorponok. Spike Witwicky subsequently assumed the role of Fortress Maximus' binary-bond partner.
