Transformers vs. G.I. Joe

When the G.I. Joe team received a transmission from the planet Cybertron requesting a meeting between the Joes and Cybertron's native robotic lifeforms, the humans were suspicious of the aliens' motives. As a precautionary measure, they primed the Coltonbolt network and aimed it at the top-secret Area Zero facility, where they had arranged for the Cybertronians to land, so that they could open fire if they proved hostile. Their otherworldly visitors turned out to be the evil Decepticons, and fighting inevitably broke out; when the Coltonbolt was activated, Soundwave was at the epicenter of the blast and was destroyed, while Starscream and Shockwave were only caught in the backwash and were able to survive.
