Attention deflectors are useful technology from the IDW portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.

Attention deflectors are a device that once attached to something will divert attention from that object. Unless you know the object really exists just don't notice it.

When it was revealed that Minimus Ambus had been hidden inside the armor known as Ultra Magnus, Rodimus concluded that the armor must have contained a hundred microscopic attention deflectors in order to prevent Ratchet from seeing the real Minimus.The Divided Self Later Ratchet confessed to Minimus that he had always known Minimus's secret.
