Angry Birds Transformers is a mobile app developed and published by Rovio. It is a themed version of the developer's mega-popular mobile game Angry Birds. The game features the "Autobirds" fighting alongside the "Deceptihogs".

Synopsis

The Allspark Egg has landed on Piggy Island, transforming the angry birds and pigs into the Autobirds and the Deceptihogs. They begin to battle until another group, the Eggbots, attack them and take over the island. The Autobirds and the Deceptihogs team up and battle the Eggbots across the island, freeing captive allies that can be used in battle.

Notes

  • According to Rovio's chief marketing officer, the game will "appeal to both those who grew up with the brand in the 80s, as well as fans of the brand today." Because that always works out swimmingly.
  • Characters enter levels aboard Astrotrain, regardless of if they are Autobird or Deceptihog.
  • Several characters are reskins (that's computer for redeco) of each other. These sets include:
    • Bludgeon, Brawl and Megatron
    • Heatwave and Sentinel Prime
    • Optimus Prime and Ultra Magnus (yep, Magnus is a white Optimus)
    • Soundblaster and Soundwave
    • Starscream and Thundercracker
  • Characters are drawn from a mixture of continuities. So far, Generation 1, Rescue Bots and live-action film series-inspired designs have been seen.
