Reactive armor
- Reactive armor is a shape-shifting mechanical suit from the IDW portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.
An invention of the mad scientist Jhiaxus, reactive armor allows the wearer to mimic an opponent's weapons, abilities, and even physical form.

IDW Generation 1 continuity
Jhiaxus donned the reactive armor to buy time for Shockwave's plan to come to fruition. When confronted with Metalhawk, Starscream, and Rattrap, Jhiaxus first demonstrated the armor's abilities by copying Metalhawk's arm-blades. Starscream fired upon Jhiaxus, only for the reactive armor to absorb the blast and transform into a duplicate of Starscream's new body. Black Planet Jhiaxus engaged Starscream in hand-to-hand combat, using copies of Starscream's own swords to keep him on the defensive. However, this proved to be the mad scientist's undoing, as Starscream had been unaware his new body even HAD swords up until this point. Starscream took the hint and deployed his own swords, impaling Jhiaxus through the reactive armor and killing him. ...And the Damage Done
