The Academy of Science and Technology appeared exclusively in the UK portion of the Marvel Comics continuity.
Flame was a member of the Iacon Academy of Science and Technology and proposed to turn Cybertron into a mobile starship similar to what Megatron had planned. However, Emirate Xaaron spoke out against him about how the technology to create such a feat was flawed. As a result, Flame was booted out of the Academy and vowed revenge as well as making his science project come true. Legion of the Lost!
