The name or term "Bruticus" refers to more than one character or idea. For a list of other meanings, see Bruticus (disambiguation).
Bruticus is a Decepticon in the Generation 1 continuity family.
Big, bad, battlin' dudicus.

Bruticus is the combined form of the Combaticon team. A terrifying sight on the battlefield, Bruticus is among the strongest of all Transformers. He can pulverize a suspension bridge with one 14,000 psi punch. He can lift up to 500,000 pounds. His armor is impervious to most artillery and radiation.

He's also dumb as a sack of hammers.

Fiction

"Bruticus crush... Bruticus destroy human who draw Bruticus wrong! "

Animated continuity

Voice Actor: Roger C. Carmel (US), Yutaka Shimaka (Japan)

Starscream had an ace up his proverbial sleeve when Megatron ordered the Constructicons to form Devastator, Starscream similarly ordered the Combaticons to form the mighty Bruticus. Though extremely low in intelligence, even by the standards of combined robots, he was also extremely powerful, easily defeating Devastator and sending the remaining Decepticons loyal to Megatron into retreat. Unfortunately, the Stunticons arrived and formed Menasor, who launched an attack from behind, quickly subduing Bruticus.

Later, when the Aerialbots discovered Megatron's latest (and dumbest) plan, involving plane parts rebuilt into ugly cars rebuilt into drone jets by Middle Eastern criminals and a Giant Purple Griffin, Superion gave Bruticus a good thrashing.

While attacking a human city, Bruticus was destroyed in battle with Defensor (man, this guy can't seem to catch a break). Only Swindle survived, and he sold the remains of his comrades to various mercenaries and third-world dictator-types, only to be forced to locate and rebuild the Combaticons by Megatron later on.

Although conspicuously absent during the Battle of Autobot City, the Combaticons and their combined form were among Galvatron's most commonly used troops in 2006 and onward.

Headmasters (Japan)

Zone OVA (Japan)

"Bruticus feel pretty. Bruticus can use cannons on his back, now!"

(Bruticus is referred to as one of the Nine Great Demon Generals. This terminology, coupled with the presence of the previously deceased Black Zarak in their ranks and Violen Jygar's supernatural origins, could mean that Bruticus died previously to Zone and was likewise brought back to life. However, this is unconfirmed, meaning that Violen Jygar may have simply recruited the still-living Bruticus to be a General.)

Bruticus was selected by Violen Jygar as one of his 9 Decepticon Demon-Generals and rebuilt with more powerful armor and weaponry. However, he did jack squat with it, as he was not present at any of the battles the other generals participated in.

Despite having an animation model, Bruticus does not appear in the single Zone OVA episode - not even the intro.

Zone manga (Japan)

Bruticus was selected by Violen Jygar as one of his 9 Decepticon Demon-Generals and rebuilt with more powerful armor and weaponry. With Abominus, Menasor, and Overlord, he attacked planet Z in order to steal its powerful Energon Z. Though attacked by four Micromaster battle stations, they managed to swipe it and then flee into space. The four then seemed to head to Earth, but were subsequently not seen again.
