This article is about the Beast Wars Neo Maximal. For the Animated Autobot, see Stampy (Animated).
Stampy is a Maximal from the Beast Wars Neo portion of the Beast Era.
If your Righteous Indignation has suffered a hit! And your photon accelerator's broken a bit! And you're losin' your mind and you're havin' a fit! Get the funky fresh rabbit who can take care of it!!!

Stampy (スタンピー Sutanpī) is young, cute and... well, not the bravest Transformer around. In fact, he's a huge coward, which greatly frustrates his teammates. When he's not scared slagless at the thought of his next mission, this rabbit Transformer is quite cheerful and well liked, which makes others eager to help him overcome his fears.

Despite his youth and cowardice, he's an excellent scout. His innate speed and extremely sensitive ears make him perfect for gathering intelligence and getting the info (and himself) back to base in one piece (the way he most definitely prefers it). And if worse comes to worse, he can always transform into his "Scissor Mode" to slice opponents with his diamond-sharp blades... though that really only works if he's being carried by someone else, limiting the mode's usefulness.

Stampy is a part of a whole sub-race of rabbit Transformers. He loves his mother very much and carries her picture around with him in a locket. (What a mama's boy.) His favorite food is space carrots. Their planet was first colonized by Tasmania Kid. All other members of Stampy's race wear clothes, but he doesn't. While on a search for the Angolmois energy capsules, he fell in love with a jellyfish Transformer named Queen Rāge. Although his duties forced him to leave her, he promised to return. To Jellyfish with Love! Cry Out, Stampy Blade Return to Zero What Became of the Five....

3H comics

Stampy was part of the coalition army that fought back the Quintesson invasion of the recently reformatted technorganic Cybertron. He and Slapper leapt onto an escaping dropship and planted bombs on it, leaping to safety before the bombs exploded and brought the ship back down to the surface. Wreckers: Finale Part II

Later, Stampy was part of the crowd of Maximals that had gathered to welcome the returning Autobots to Cybertron. Rook all but shoved him out of the way to get close for an interview with the returning heroes. Abduction

IDW Beast Wars comics

Stampy was part of Big Convoy's unit and survived many battles under him. Lio Convoy would later recognize his potential and inducted him into the Pack. Beast Wars Sourcebook 4 He would be officially last seen at Varus-5. The Ascending #4

What crowd?

Stampy later traveled with the Pack to prehistoric Earth to rescue Razorbeast and company. He was very eager to get down there and try out his new rabbit beast form. This "bounding" exuberance, quite predictably, got on Longrack's nerves. When they reached their destination and took on the Predacons, Stampy was seen to handle Manta Ray and Scavenger quite handily. The Ascending #2

After trouncing Spittor as well, Stampy acted as a cheerleader of sorts when the Pack joined with the other Earthbound Maximals in restraining the Angolmois-infected Razorbeast. He later eagerly asked Lio Convoy what he should do when the Pack's commander was giving out orders. Lio simply ignored him. The Ascending 33

When he returned to Cybertron to help battle Shokaract, his tail caught fire as he escaped from the wreckage of the Pack's downed transwarp cruiser. During the fight with Shokaract, he transformed into his Targetmaster mode and was wielded by Longrack. The Ascending #4

Lookit th' bones!
  • Stampy (Basic, 1999)
    • Japanese ID number: C-31
Stampy transforms into a rather vicious-looking organic snow hare seemingly designed to have his beast mode be in a permanent mid-leap pose. His robot hands are compatible with 5mm posts. His "Scissor Mode" turns him into... an awkward pile of rabbit parts with his pincers and ear-blades pointing vaguely forward, which barely scissor open and closed when his tail is pulled on. This mode is designed to be used as a hand-held weapon by larger Transformers toys, having a 5mm peg on his underside, though Stampy's weight often forces the wielder's arm to droop or the whole body to become off-balance and topple over. The Scissor Mode gimmick gives him a "shrugging" action in robot mode.

Perhaps it would help to confuse it if we ran away more?
  • Grasslands Showdown: Stampy VS Sling (Multi-pack, 1999)
    • Japanese ID number: VS-31
Stampy was also available in a "VS" two-pack with the Predacon Sling. Both toys were identical to their individual releases.
