The Empyrean Suite is music from the IDW portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.

The Empyrean Suite is a piece of music with some reportedly unfortunate connotations.

IDW Generation 1 continuity

Rung whistled The Empyrean Suite on his way to work. Stet Ultra Magnus regarded The Empyrean Suite as one of his favorite pieces of music. The Gloaming Skids heard the music running constantly in his mind, but couldn't identify it until he let Chromedome perform mnemosurgery on him. Chromedome hoped Skids wouldn't learn its significance. Who's Afraid of the DJD? Swerve played The Empyrean Suite for the comatose Ultra Magnus following Overlord's rampage. Ratchet found it distracting while he was trying to reattach Magnus's legs, and asked Swerve to turn it off. The Gloaming

Notes

  • A not-insignificant number of fans believe that the song Tarn plays in "Rules of Disengagement" is The Empyrean Suite, not as a theory, but as a mistaken notion that it was officially stated within the comic. It hasn't been; no canon link between Tarn and the song yet exists.
