This article is about the Decepticon Micromaster. For his Japanese Autobot counterpart, see Vanquish (ROC).
Vanquish is a Decepticon Micromaster from the Generation 1 continuity family.
Milking the giant cow... OF VICTORY!

Vanquish is the silent partner in his combiner relationship with Fireshot. He prefers to fly under the radar, both figuratively and literally, and achieves his goals by going unnoticed. He stays on Fireshot's good side, in case he should ever achieve his goal of replacing Direct-Hit as team leader of the Battle Squad.[1]

Also? Cool name.

IDW Generation 1 continuity

Vanquish was born from a hot spot inside one of the Metrotitans who left Cybertron to colonize other worlds. Windblade caught a glimpse of him splitting off from Fireshot when she was merged with Metroplex's mind. Windblade #4

Vanquish and a squad of Decepticons arrive to end Drift and Ratchet's fight with a small group of other Decepticons. Taken into custody, the two Autobots and Grit are lead handcuffed to a large stone castle serving as the Decepticons' base where Decepticon leader Gigatron awaits them. Empire of Stone #1 Vanquish is present in Gigatron's throne room while the Decepticon leader holds council with his two Autobot prisoners. Later, after Drift and Ratchet have escaped and found the vault of stone warriors, Vanquish, Hellbat and two other goons appear in the vault's doorway intending to kill them. Empire of Stone #2

Generation 1

  • Battle Squad (Micromaster Combiner Squad, 1990)
Vanquish transforms into the rear half of a SR-71 Blackbird stealth jet, which he forms with his combiner partner Fireshot. He can be connected to any other Micromaster Combiner, although with most he'll look pretty silly.
Vanquish was only available in a six-pack with his squad mates Fireshot, Direct-Hit, Half-Track, Meltdown and Power Punch.
