You put in votes for six characters instead of five. Remove one. --Monzo 00:00, 30 March 2011 (EDT)

G.I. Joe edits

Does the information you recently added to various G.I. Joe pages come from actual Transformers fiction? If not, it will need to be removed. Please note that G.I. Joe fiction without appearances by Transformer characters does not count. --Khajidha 19:34, 29 March 2012 (EDT)

Every time I touch an article about the Joe characters, the flavor text is either from their file cards or a similarly canon source. Ironhold 17:47, 2 April 2012 (EDT)
GI Joe file cards and the Order of Battle series are valid sources for a GI Joe wiki, but not for a Transformers one as they are not TF fiction. GI Joe-only fiction cannot be used as a source here. --Khajidha 08:18, 3 April 2012 (EDT)
...except, I've actually created multiple Joe articles from scratch referencing such text over the course of the past year, so why is this an issue now? If you don't believe me, check the articles concerning the Joe characters and note the ones I started.Ironhold 08:45, 5 April 2012 (EDT)

Disambiguations

Parentheticals are only needed at the end of article names if the base name would clash with another article. It's not necessary to add (G1) after an article if there isn't a set of valentine cards with the same name in another franchise. --abates (talk) 16:42, 25 February 2015 (EST)

I was in the middle of handling a series that did have the same name, and so I did that to keep them separate until I got finished. Ironhold (talk) 16:44, 25 February 2015 (EST)
Ah, sorry, I just spotted that. Is there another company releasing valentines cards though? --abates (talk) 16:46, 25 February 2015 (EST)
American Greetings does, but they tend to be better about not re-using the same set names in a given year.Ironhold (talk) 16:47, 25 February 2015 (EST)
What I meant to ask was whether any other company was releasing a set of card with the same "27 Lenticular Valentines" title - otherwise we don't need to have the company disambiguation on the article. --abates (talk) 16:53, 25 February 2015 (EST)
OK. Ironhold (talk) 16:54, 25 February 2015 (EST)
