Before they were known as the "Knights of Unicron," Bumblebee founded "Bumblebee and the Hive" in 1978. He was recognizable by the yellow jumpsuit he wore during his time as a performer. As the group's lead vocalist, he and his golden voice led them to greatness... Until his vocal processor was shredded a year later. Though the other members of the Hive begged he stayed in a different role, Bumblebee chose to leave for parts unknown, and was left to fade into obscurity as Optimus took his place in the band's line-up and rechristened it.

During Bumblebee's brief era with the band, Bumblebee and the Hive released the hit single "Cybertronian Rhapsody."

Years after his departure from the band he had founded, Bumblebee was invited back for the Till All are One tour, where he worked as the band's vocal sampler from back stage.Behind the Music
