Lightbright was one of several Transformers who witnessed Menasor and Swindle's arrival on their homeworld, Caminus, via spacebridge. First Contact

Lightbright and Hot Shot were Cityspeakers, stationed in Caminus. When Menasor appeared on their world, they reported to their commander, Afterburner, the warnings Caminus was giving them. While Hot Shot was unable to translate exactly what the Titan was saying, Lightbright was able to discern that he was saying "Enigma", though it still didn't prepare the Camiens for Menasor's rampage. Caminus' departed Cityspeaker, Windblade returned and addressed Lightbright and the others at the Forgefire, telling them that another combiner, Superion, would soon arrive to defeat Menasor, and the he was a friend. Following Menasor's defeat, and during Starscream's attempt at first contact with Caminus, Lightbright and the other members of the Forgefire Parliament accompanied the Mistress of Flame to meet Optimus Prime, the living Prime and bearer of the Matrix of Leadership.
