Beast Wars Pt.1: Trace & Colour is a Beast Wars coloring book. It is illustrated in black-and-white line art, using a mix of illustrations that are simplified versions of the characters' first wave toy packaging art, or drawings based on their television animation models. The book also includes a few pages of tracing paper. All depictions of the characters in their robot modes are based on their packaging art, while all depictions of characters in their beast modes is based on their animation models, with the sole exception of Rattrap's beast mode on page 36 (see below). It is part of a series of at least five activity books, containing no storyline or narrative, other than a short informative blurb on the cover (quoted above).
