Janitorial class
- The janitorial class is a social stratum from the IDW portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.
Under functionist principles, a Transformer's alternate mode defines their purpose and so the Functionist Council divides Cybertronian society into different classes along these lines. The janitorial class comprises those Transformers that are best suited to cleaning up after the others.

Template:Notecmn For two million years the Council had kept Rung, the so-called "Useless One", at The Cog, where One-of-Twelve tortured him every day while the scientist Quark tried to solve the mystery of what his alternate mode actually was. However it was Sweep, a member of the janitorial class, who ultimately worked it out while cleaning Rung's cell.
