- Servo now has a Rescue Bot insignia on his collar as opposed to the plain Autobot insignia he had in his introductory episode.
- The Nemo was stolen by Pynch in "Double Villainy", though she was seen abandoning it in "Rise of the Heroes" thanks to the ship springing a leak. She also appeared to have gotten away with the Verne Device, possessing it at the end of "Double Villainy", though Morocco was seen to still have it at the end of "Rise of the Heroes".
- Among Morocco's crimes are the nanites ("Cody on Patrol", "The Other Doctor"), the MorBot ("The Other Doctor"), Trex ("Return of the Dino Bot"), the weather machine ("Changes"). His army ants were seen in "Bugs in the System".
- Morocco used the Verne Device to erase memories in "Double Villainy".
- Verne implies that he previously met Heatwave in an adventure which has not yet occurred for our heroes.

- Jules Verne and his book Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea are, of course, real. Events throughout the episode pay homage to the book, including the attack on High Tide's ship, implying that Verne was inspired by them to write about them.
