Scylla (BW)
- Scylla is a Predacon from the Beast Wars II portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.

The pirate wench Scylla (スキュウレ Sukyūre) is hopelessly delusional. When she looks in the mirror, she doesn't see a razor-fanged, barnacle-encrusted, tentacle-slithering horror of the deep. She sees a ravishing beauty queen; a seductive and irresistible coquette whom any male would scale a mountain for, just to catch a fleeting glimpse of her unsurpassed lusciousness.
In reality, Scylla is anything but the mouth-watering femme fatale she thinks she is. Rude, slovenly and prone to fits of snarling, animalistic anger, men the universe over recognize her as the face that launched a thousand ships... in the other direction! And no man knows this better than poor Scuba, who has found himself the unwilling target of Scylla's relentless affections. Scylla will often abandon her Seacon partners in the heat of battle in order to pursue, subdue and woo the repulsed Maximal squid. As Scuba desperately struggles to fend off her passionate advances, Scylla remains obliviously unaware of Bighorn, a Maximal who actually does find her to be drop-dead gorgeous.
When she isn't abandoning them to molest Scuba, Scylla can combine with her fellow Seacons to form God Neptune.

Scylla arrived on planet Gaea with the rest of the Space Pirate Seacons in search of loot, namely the Angolmois energy. They immediately began pumping Angolmois energy out of the planet, which alerted the Maximals to their presence. Lio Convoy sent Scuba to spy on the Seacons while Halfshell sent Scylla to guard the perimeter. While patrolling around, Scylla laid eyes on Scuba and became madly smitten. Scuba was less than pleased, doing his best to get as far away from her as possible. She instantly earned the scorn of Artemis, who also had a crush on Scuba. The Space Pirate Seacons! Who Is the Strongest Warrior!?
A little while later, Bighorn got a look at Scylla as she was resting off-shore and became infatuated with her. However, his inability to swim made reaching her rather difficult. Scylla ignored Bighorn's advances, as she was more interested in wrapping her tentacles around Scuba. Scylla spent more time chasing Scuba than helping the Seacons secure treasure, which often infuriated Halfshell. This was especially problematic, as she was required to form the leg of God Neptune. Scylla fell in love with Scuba rather by accident. Bighorn, after first laying eyes on Scylla, became infatuated with her. However, being so stupid, he could not muster the creativity to craft her a proper love letter. After a bit of coercing, Bighorn convinced his teammate, Scuba (renowned for his poetic skills), to write a magnificent love letter for him.
Bad move. Scylla received the letter, and due to a grievous error, discovered that Scuba wrote it and gained the wrong impression. She then fell madly in love with him, chasing the reluctant bachelor all over Gaea. Bighorn eventually managed to express his feelings to Scylla in his own crude manner, but was shot down in a rather friendly way. Scylla informed him that, were he a squid, he might have had a chance. Realize the Forbidden Love!

Scylla's most prominent characteristic was her vanity; she went to great lengths to maintain her appearance, and nothing pleased her more than being told her beauty was unmatched. She regularly targeted national monuments and sculptures in her criminal acts, believing she should be the only object of admiration. Beast Wars Sourcebook 3

Scylla was constructed by Grimlock from Elita One's blueprints, with the intention of replacing Prowl on Grimlock's crew. Scylla's bio She and two other protoforms were stored in stasis pods aboard the Graviton. The stasis pods were lost overboard when the ship crashed over prehistoric Earth in an alternate universe, and the trio were converted into Decepticons by Megatron. They attacked Ultra Magnus and his team, however the arrival of Depth Charge turned the tide of the battle as he blasted the three new Decepticons. Shattered Expectations
The Decepticons pursued the Autobots to a chasm, where they watched Megatron take on Ultra Magnus and be defeated. They climbed to the bottom of the chasm to retrieve their fallen leader and found a giant face hewn into the rock. It cheered Megatron up immensely once they dug him out of the rubble. Shattered Paths Watching Megatron manipulate the equipment in the cavern they found, Scylla wondered what he was working on. The Seacons later attempted to retrieve the "Maximal" energy purifier, and merged into God Neptune so they could fight off Magnaboss. Shattered Hope Scylla and the others accompanied Megatron as he used the giant mech he'd built to try and claim the matrix the Maximals had found. Shattered Balance Combining into God Neptune once more, the Seacons battled the Maximals until they were all sucked into a dimensional rift thanks to Ultra Mammoth. Shattered Destiny

- God Neptune (Ultra, 1998)
- Japanese ID number: D-21
- Available only in the God Neptune multi-pack, Scylla is a redeco of the Generation 1 Seacon Tentakil, transforming into an ambulatory squid-monster. Like her fellow God Neptune partners, Scylla lacks her individual weapons and "weapon stand" parts from the original version of the mold. Being part of the Scramble City-style design, she can form the arm or leg to any compatible super robot, but her standard placement is as the left leg to God Neptune.
- For unknown reasons, a great number of unboxed God Neptune sets—lacking all of their accessories, including combiner parts—ended up available on the secondary market. These went for considerably less than the "complete" releases, naturally.
- This mold was also used to make the Super-God Masterforce Seacon Tentakil.
Notes
- Scylla's name is derived from a mythical Greek monster of varying characteristics, but often similar to a sort of giant squid. Said monster is consistently female throughout the myths. Also, either name pronunciation ("silla" or "skilla") is technically correct, with the latter being the Greek pronunciation.
- A Japanese trading card renders Scylla's name in English as "Squlle". This highlights the fact that Scylla's name was not actually rendered with the Katakana used for the mythological monster from The Odyssey—that's スキュラ Sukyura, compared to our pirate wench's スキュウレ Sukyūre. As such, it seems Scylla's name may have originally been a "Rhinoxization" of the creature's, featuring extra nonsense syllables, rather than a straight literary nod.
- The name "Scylla" (this time pronounced "silla") was mentioned in an episode of Beast Wars as a set of coordinates. This was most likely intended to reference a fan who went by the screen name "Scylla", who had named herself after the Beast Wars II character.
- Scylla is the only female member of a Scramble City-style combiner team.
- Scylla design in Beast Wars: Uprising seems to be based on Cybertron Decepticon Thunderblast
