Decepticon medics are Decepticons from the Marvel portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.

Decepticon medics provide repair services to those injured in battle. They report directly to the Decepticon leader and are even allowed to continue working while high level meetings occur.

Marvel The Transformers comics

"Hey Dad, is it alright if I take the car out tonight?"

The Decepticon medic supervised his assistants Spectro, Spyglass and Viewfinder as they made repairs on Frenzy, Rumble, Soundwave (blunt impact injuries sustained during Spider-Man and Gears's invasion of Fortress Sinister). He presumably performed the reconstruction on Skywarp (totaled by a direct hit from one of Sunstreaker's ground-to-air missiles) himself. The repairs on Skywarp were almost complete by the time Megatron came to the medical bay for a damage report on his injured soldiers.

Starscream confronted Megatron over a strategic gaffe immediately after the report, and Megatron shot him with his fusion cannon, ordering that he be added to the damaged list.

Starscream was fully repaired in time for the subsequent attack on the Ark. The Last Stand

"Well, actually, I transform into a Playstation."

G.I. Joe vs. the Transformers continuity

Following a catastrophic battle against the Dinobots and members of the human organization G.I. Joe, Shockwave was being repaired by the Decepticon medic when a guard brought in the traitor Starscream. Unfortunately Starscream also brought with him a present from Cobra Commander—forty-five pounds of plastic explosives. Everyone present was presumably destroyed in the resulting explosion. G.I. Joe vs. the Transformers II issue 4

Notes

  • The Decepticon medics seen so far have both been loosely based on other character models. The Marvel Comics medic is loosely based on Megatron, even sharing the unusual off-centered Decepticon symbol in the scenes where they appear together. The Devil's Due medic, designed by Guido Guidi, is based on Ratchet's original character model.[1]
