Having finally passed her exams, Velocity was with Firestar and a group of other Camiens when the Vis Vitalis ran into some technical difficulty near their location. Responding to Thunderclash's distress signal, they helped set the matter right and were inducted into the crew.
At the dying Thunderclash's pre-wake, Velocity recounted his plummeting health to First Aid and Minimus Ambus. As Minimus examined the Matrix Map Thunderclash had been carving into the wall, Velocity revealed that his health had taken a turn for the worse when a seemingly average 'bot had come along and repaired his long-held terminal wound. The group then realized that Thunderclash's shutdown was very deliberate, as he was manipulating the readouts of the medical machines to send a warning to the crew. Before they could make sense of it, a knock from Thunderclash's trailer interrupted them... The Sensuous Frame
