The Tone-O-Tuner is a device invented by Doc Greene. Anyone who sings into its microphone has their pitch automatically corrected, making them a perfect singer.

Doc Greene was prepared to test the device during the Griffin Rock Idol auditions, at least until Frankie and Cody pointed out that it would be considered cheating by most people. Conceding the point, Doc returned it to the back of his van, where it was stolen by Priscilla Pynch, who fully intended to use it to cheat. Unable to get the device to work, she threw it in the back of Huxley Prescott's van where the reporter later unwittingly threw his microphone onto it. When an accident later activated Huxley's transmitting equipment, the Tone-O-Tuner's frequency permeated Griffin Rock, compelling everyone in range to sing rather than speak. Unaware that his equipment was causing the problem, Huxley tried to amplify his broadcasts, resulting in the Tone-O-Tuner's frequencies causing heavy vibration and damage in surrounding buildings. The device was finally found and switched off after the rescue team noticed the dish on Prescott's van spinning wildly. I Have Heard the Robots Singing
