Piranacon (Quintesson)

Piranacons are Quintesson creations from the Dreamwave portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.

Surprisingly, this time he actually indeed didn't really deserve punishment...

Piranacons are like Micromaster versions of the more conventional sized Sharkticons. They are creations of the Quintessons, who may give a bunch of them to allies as a goodwill gift if they happen to feel like it.

Dreamwave Generation One continuity

Megatron's return to Cybertron and power went a little less glorious than he had planned, courtesy of Starscream attempting his coup d'état just before Megatron did. Megatron, obviously, was not amused by this and had Starscream locked up in a tank filled with the Piranacons he had received from the Quintessons along with the Aerospace Extermination Squadron. Every now and then, he sicced them on the Seeker for his entertainment. The Age of Wrath Pt.2

The Piranacons were to reappear in War Within: The Age of Wrath #5, which was never released. For one reason or another, their tank would be shattered and they'd be dead, their tiny corpses littering the floor around a supposedly traumatized Starscream.

Aligned Continuity

When the Quintessons on Aquatron judged the Autobots and Decepticons 'innocent' of 'stealing' Cybertron from them, several of the condemned numbers were thrown into a Piranhacon-infested pool.
