Animation and/or technical glitches
Near the beginning of the episode, when Hook is talking to Megatron, Sideswipe (an Autobot) is standing to his right.
Continuity errors
According to Omega Supreme, the Constructions lived on Cybertron until they learned of Megatron's whereabouts after his crash on Earth. However, in "Heavy Metal War" (the Constructicons' first appearance) Megatron states the Constructicons were recently built.
Further complicating the Constructicons origins was a flashback in "The Five Faces Of Darkness" where the Constructicons are shown creating Megatron.
These three different origins for the Constructicons have become notorious as one of the biggest continuity errors in the series.
