The Secret of Omega Supreme (episode)
Omega Supreme reveals his past to Optimus Prime, which involves a city's destruction, Megatron and the Constructicons.
Detailed synopsis
Optimus Prime discovers the Constructicons are excavating a meteorite orbiting Earth and contacts Omega Supreme for help. But Omega confesses a personal vendetta against the Constructicons. They were once his friends when he guarded their creation, the Crystal City on Cybertron, until they were altered by Megatron's Robo-smasher and perminantly changed into Decepticons. Omega's own run-in with the Smasher while trying to rescue them left him scared and emotionally barren except for his desire for vengence against his once-friends. Prime cautions Omega to only observe the operation, but once on the meteor, the vengeful Omega immediately attacks his enemies, wildly smashing open a huge fissure. The entire meteor breaks in two like an egg, hatching a robotic creature which flies toward Earth. Subsequently learning that the creature is preparing to attack Earth out of hunger, Prime tells Omega that only he can save Earth by luring the monster back to its food supply on the meteor. Omega, after a personal struggle, forgoes his desire for revenge against the Constructicons in order to save the Earth from destruction. In the end he expresses hope that he might one day regain some of the feeling the Robo-smasher took.

Other notes
Animation and/or technical glitches
Near the beginning of the episode, when Hook is talking to Megatron, Sideswipe (an Autobot) is standing to his right.
Continuity errors
According to Omega Supreme, the Constructions lived on Cybertron until they learned of Megatron's whereabouts after his crash on Earth. However, in "Heavy Metal War" (the Constructicons' first appearance) Megatron states the Constructicons were recently built.
Further complicating the Constructicons origins was a flashback in Five Faces of Darkness, Part Four where the Constructicons are shown creating Megatron.
These three different origins for the Constructicons have become notorious as one of the biggest continuity errors in the series.
